FSSC 22000

The Fujikawa Plant of Shiraishi Kogyo is Japan’s only plant dedicated to producing precipitated calcium carbonate for use in food additives. The plant has obtained FSSC 22000 certification, which is an international standard for food safety management systems. Based on this standard, the Fujikawa Plant implements strict hygiene management and quality control.

Certification for food additive GMP

The Fujikawa Plant of Shiraishi Kogyo has been certified for complying with the “Voluntary Standards Related to Manufacturing Control and Quality Control of Food Additives” as defined by the Japan Food Additives Association, and has obtained Food Additive GMP certification. Based on these standards, the company manufactures and sells calcium carbonate for food additives that customers can safely use.

Halal Certification

Calcium carbonate for food additives manufactured at the Fujikawa Plant of Shiraishi Kogyo includes products that have obtained halal certification.
Muslims can feel comfortable with consuming such products.

Kosher Certification

Calcium carbonate for food additives manufactured at the Fujikawa Plant of Shiraishi Kogyo includes products that have obtained kosher certification.
Jewish people can feel comfortable with consuming such products.

Traceability

The Shiraishi Group performs extensive research on raw material information. We also create and store the necessary records from procurement to production processes and subsequent logistics processes. By doing so, we have constructed a management system that quickly traces accurate history information.

Moving forward, in order to ensure that our customers can feel comfortable with using our calcium carbonate products, we will work hard to implement strict hygiene management and quality control on a daily basis.
