Coming through bright and clear
We're said to be living in the age of information - and information demands a number of paper-related media.
Printed materials, displays, packaging paper surrounds us in many different forms and textures.
Shiraishi's correspondingly diverse paper pigments improve surface quality and widen the range of applications. In this way, calcium carbonates meet the requirements of a surprisingly wide variety of paper.
*Slurry products such as PCX-850, Brilliant-l5, Satin White are Japan only.

The whiteness, opacity, abundance and low cost of calcium carbonate make it an ideal element for many types of paper, including cigarette paper and alkaline sized paper.
Specially selected calcium-based pigments are also applied to paper for use in heat-sensitive facsimiles, computers, posters and artwork, to enhance brightness, opacity, gloss and ink absorption.

Because we want every bit of the brightness of our calcium-based pigments to reach the eyes of the consumer, our deliveries of PCX-850, Brilliant-l5 and Satin White within Japan are made in l5-ton slurry batches.
This ensures a superior product by reducing aggregation and increasing stability, and is less expensive and more energy-efficient than delivery in powder form.
