We are pursuing the possibilities of calcium in new fields that will support the next 100 years of the Shiraishi Group.

Overview

There are many fields with expectations for the application of calcium carbonate. For example, life science fields such as artificial bone filling materials, electronic fields such as ceramic capacitors, and optical fields such as scintillators. By utilizing the technology which we have cultivated in numerous fields, the Shiraishi Group is embracing the challenge of being active in unprecedented new fields.
Specifically, we are mainly embracing the challenge of new fields for calcium carbonate. For example, we are developing high-purity calcium products that have undergone high-purity treatment via unique methods, producing calcium carbonate sintered bodies which are a rarity in the world, and examining the applicability of calcium products as bone fillers and cell-supporting carriers.
